My name is Emma Spreckley and I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years of experience in education.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children across the primary age range, supporting their academic progress and emotional development.

After working as a primary school teacher, I saw how many children needed a more individual approach, reassurance and individual support to truly thrive. I started this tutoring service to give children the confidence and attention they don’t always get in a busy classroom.

I believe children learn best when they feel confident, supported and truly understood. My lessons are calm, engaging and carefully tailored to each child’s individual needs, helping them build skills at their own pace. I place a strong emphasis on developing thinking skills and encouraging thoughtful questioning, so children learn not just what to think, but how to think.
I also pride myself on making learning fun, capturing each child's interest, nurturing their curiosity and fostering a genuine love of learning that lasts beyond our sessions.

As a qualified teacher, I understand the curriculum, assessment expectations and how children learn - allowing me to target gaps effectively and build progress.

When I’m not tutoring, I love visiting Art galleries and walking. I am married, have three grown up children and I live in Chislehurst, South-East London.
